About us
- LUG@IITD is an unofficial student driven GNU/Linux User Community at IIT Delhi. LUG@IITD organises community driven workshops similar in spirit to barcamps. Other Activities undertaken by the group include:-
- Provide Helpful articles on its wiki based site.
- internal repository management for some distros.
- providing GNU/Linux related materials including distro ISOs to students.
- promoting free software culture in the institute.
- Providing linux help on its official google mailing list [1].
Scope
In last 3 years, we have enlarged scope of LUG@IITD, It is now basically a Open Technology Group at Delhi and Other Places.
- Our Community discuss larges aspects of Open Ecosystem (Technology) - GNU/Linux, Free Software, Open Source, Free and Open Content, Open Standards, Anti-Patents, Anti-DRM etc.
- Its name suggest, it started from IITD But We have members from a large number of colleges, schools, institutes and hobbyist. So anybody can join this. So Anybody can join us.
