Initiation of LUC@JAMIA
LUC@JAMIA refers to the Linux User Club At JAMIA . It's a platform that provides students an easy way to learn the linux and open source software . We can change fossily ( foss + easily ) by just saying nothing's impossible by gaining knowledge .

Objective
- To create an active and well equipped Linux Community within JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA University.
- To establish a medium to promote FOSS activity and to increase the active interaction amongst members of the club .
- To keep the students informed about latest developments in the Open Source Community.
- To provide a separate platform to all the students of university to communicate and share the different experiences with linux.
This is the first workshop which is specially for NEWBIES in the world of linux on 23rd January (Saturday) from 10 am to 3 pm.
Proposed Topics
These are the proposed topics not the final .
- - An Introduction on GNU/Linux.
- - What is Free and Open Source Software and Open Standards.
- - Software for daily use, Image and Video editing tool FOSS for academia
- - Anything else you would want to know about GNU/Linux and FOSS.
- - On the spot GNU/Linux installation and demo of Compiz 3D Desktop

If you are coming from Faridabad :- 1.You can use HARYANA ROADWAYS, DTC or CBS. stopage at kalka ji morh and From kalka ji morh use Rickshaw to reach jamia university .
If you are coming from Badarpur Border :-
1.Bus no. 460 , 405 , 473 stopage at kalka ji morh and From kalka ji morh use Rickshaw to reach jamia university .
If you are coming from Nehru Place side :- 1.Use bus no. 534 stopage at Sukhdev Vihar stand.
